"How can I be an embarrassment to them from this distance?"
If you are any sort of parent you will find a way to be an embarrassment!
6000km... *does maths on fingers* That's 3750 miles. If you say it like that, it doesn't seem as far.
You've got the place to yourself at last.
PAAAAAAAAAAAR-TAY!
I'm sure they'll be embarrassed when they have to fly back to pay your bail :-)
There's a mail system, you know. And the telephone. All you need is contact details for their friends/boyfriends, and you're sorted.
A blogger mom can ALWAYS be an embarrassment! Just make sure you get some of their friends to read your posts!!! ;)
Huuummm... re-read my comment. I'd better make it clear: you'll have to change your posts though... your regular posts would actually make you look like a cool mom. You'll need to post something embarrassing to them, obviously! :D
Yes...strange isn't it? Our youngest flew the coop (no pun intended) earlier this year...not 6000 KM mind you, but leaving is leaving...
You could post old home movies on YouTube...the intarnets present myriad ways to embarrass children...
Flickr + baby/childhood pictures = long-distance embarrassment. Heck, email works well too -- if you didn't get that scan of the picture of me reading on the potty that my dad sent out, then you're likely the only person in the northern hemisphere who didn't.
*sigh*
Some days I thank my stars that I'm not as easily embarrassed as a teenager anymore.
Stephanie has already beaten me to the punch with the embarrassing pictures. She's posted a bunch on Facebook.
It's true that I can embarrass them even from this distance, without even breaking a sweat.
A cool mom? dcver, you old smoothie!
