All that jazz

Nikki Yanofsky of Montréal. Who will be FOURTEEN next month. She's recorded Ella Fitzgerald's Airmail Special for We all Love Ella: Celebrating the First Lady of Song, a tribute album to mark the 90th anniversary of the jazz singer's birth. The album was produced by Phil Ramone and includes performances by Natalie Cole, Gladys Knight, Diana Krall, k.d. lang and Michael Bublé, among others.

Go to nikkionline.ca and click on the A/V Menu link. Listen to "Miss Otis Regrets" and then wrap your head around what this girl will sound like in 10 years or so.

I actually taught a grade 8 girl who had a similar style but more of a whisky voice. If you closed your eyes you would think you were listening to a woman, not a young girl. It is amazing, but a little disconcerting as well.
