They all look bored. I was under the impression that they should be scary. The ones on Notre Dame look like they're going to snot the next bloody tourist that takes the obligatory 'me with gargoyle face - next to real gargoyle' photo.

Oh please - I've existed in a state of ennui for years now. I wonder, does that mean I now need to find a church I can climb onto? Maybe move back to Ottawa, infest the Parliament buildings...

As for Monsieur Gargoyle - perhaps living with ennui contributed to his turning into stone.
