Fall


Or autumn, if you prefer. In most of Canada, it looks like the picture here. My birth province, New Brunswick, is known for the beauty of its fall (autumn) leaf colours.
Sadly, at least on the far east coast of this island, it isn't quite so colourful. Far fewer maple trees, for one. Too much black spruce, which has to be the bastard child of the tree world. UGH-LEE.
It seems like the least nature could do, provide us with some spectacular colour before everything goes gray, with the odd cover of white, for six months or so. Unfortunately, around here fall looks mostly like this.
