Betrayal

Ever know someone you thought was a friend only to have them stab you in the back? On purpose? Someone who you've supported in the same circumstance, only to have them sabotage you purposely in the very same situation?

What I don't understand is why they don't just hit you. It wouldn't hurt any worse.

Luckily for me, this is a circumstance I can very easily avoid in the future.

That doesn't sound good. Yes, I've sort of been in a similar sort of place, but I wouldn't say I know how you feel 'cos obviously I don't.
I guess we just have to have faith that, whatever form it takes, there's some mechanism in the universe by which the people who do these things to us will, one day, get theirs.

Because they're a big fat jerk.

To rip off an old Al Franken SNL sketch, "you're good enough, you're smart enough, and people like you." So to the idiot who abused your friendship - f*^% 'em!*

Have a good weekend bella - do something for *yourself* for a change, and not someone else!

*not literally, of course.

yup! twice in the last 2 weeks by the same friend but the more I think* about it the more I think it wasn't intentional...just a misunderstanding.

*likely wishful thinking on my part

I thought we'd have past this childish/adolescent stage long ago...sigh..

In my case it was intentional but she seems to think it's okay and being cutesey about it is going to undo the damage.

She's wrong.

Agree with Squeakypony. You can never know just whether a friend is really a friend or not. Everyone's got their own agenda, and everything'll be shiny right up to the point where they decide you're an obstacle to it.
Sorry you got hurt.
