And that dress can't be easy to handle, either. :)
No, it cannot. Not that I've ever worn one quite like that, but long dresses do NOT enhance movement.
Watching those old movies I have the same thought...especially Debbie Reynolds having to keep up with Gene Kelly and Donald O'Connnor in high heels in Singin' In The Rain.
Ummm...O'Connor wasn't in high heels, Reynolds was...you know what I mean..
