I'm a hobbit

Which doesn't surprise anyone who knows me. I'm built low to the ground and my house is sort of built into the side of a hill. I don't have hairy feet though... so, which Middle Earth character are you?

I'm Meriadoc Brandybuck and his insatiable bloodlust.

Sounds about right :)

The responsibility-shirking Gandalf Grayhame, apparently.

Hm...

Misty - Excellent! I loves me a bit o' bloodlust!

Ricardipus - You're still there! You've been very quiet. We've missed you.

Gandalf is very cool. I didn't know he was responsibility shirking...

I'm Legolas "and his anal-retentive attention to personal hygiene." I always saw myself more as Glorfindel, but maybe he got cut from the movies.

Nothing wrong with clean. I'm supposed to be agrarian. I have one plant. And it only survives by sheer act of will...

That's okay. I knew what you meant. I'm fluent in typo. It's my mother tongue.

Hey Hawkowl, my brother pointed out that in the movie, Glorfindel's part is replaced by Arwen. His comment... "one half-bit elf part replaced by another half-bit elf part."

The old cynic.

Ricardipus: I don't think your brother understands the book. I haven't seen the movie, but I gather Arwen isn't anything close to the real thing.

I've read them, but not recently... Arwen basically doesn't do anything at all in the book until the very end where there's some rambling romance with Aragorn, as I recall... you probably remember better.

I'm not dissing the movies though 'cos they were great. But not entirely faithful to the narrative in the books.

I think my bro's comment is valid... neither Glorfindel nor Arwen are particularly important characters IMHO. But they needed some romantic interest, so Liv Tyler it is, on screen whenever possible :).
