Mea culpa and que sera sera...

Bless me, father, for I have sinned. It has been 4 days since my last post...

We're two weeks away from opening night for "Noises Off" and I feel... frenzied... everything's under control and we'll be fine, but there's always this point just before it's ready when it feels as if it never will be. So near and yet so far.

The choir is preparing for a concert on May 28. I know most of the concert repertoire but there are 3 pieces I've got to learn from scratch.

And at work, I've two reports to prepare for the semi-annual national meeting, plus layout for the annual report for our provincial annual general meeting and, just to make things more interesting, my work computer has decided that it will not let me open, save, save as or insert files using my word processing software, or indeed any M**roS*ft program. You know. The ones that I use to prepare reports and such. As in do my job... so yep. I'm feeling just a little... frenzied right now.

And gasoline is $1.16/litre. Oh dear lord above.

Breathe in. Breathe out. Repeat as needed...

That's what comes of having such a varied, fulfilling life!

Sounds like you're spread thinner than butter on a Scotsman's toast.

Aren't you living just off of one of the largest deposits of oil in North America?

If I found gasoline at $1.16/litre I would think I'd died and gone to heaven. Try out our $1.47/litre bit of petroleum madness up here.

$1.16 a litre? That works out at current rates of just over 50p a litre. Currently we are paying about 93p a litre for petrol, 95p a litre for diesel.

We're lucky up here still - 1.02/litre, but then that's one of the perks of Alberta. (One of the few... I miss B.C.!!!)

Good luck with all your reports though...

TC - "varied, fulfilling life" - Ha... ha... hahahahahahaha! So that's what it is...

Et al - And I'll stop moaning about gas prices now. I've been comparing us to most of mainland Canada. Bastards.

SD - Oh, Mithter Duck!

Well, it was hovering between 90¢ to 98¢ a liter here in Ottawa for the last little while, but it just jumped to about $1.06 over the last few days... It pisses me off because I can't see a reason. Katrina was an excuse, but at least it was an excuse! Right now it's just people getting greedy.

Grrrr.

Everyone who isn't living in Europe can stop whingeing about petrol prices right now.

Perhaps we should start thinking about powering vehicles with Scarymank, which is clearly being exported to other people's blogs for free.

Now THERE'S a plan...

Perhaps they could run on tomato juice, once Operation Manky Garden has had a chance to come to fruition. Fnarr!

Good to see you back again pet :) I wondered where you'd gotten to.

Oh, and I have a nice, quiet, happy place in my brain that I go to when life gets too hectic. You're welcome to visit if you feel the need :)

Why thanks! I don't think it would be very quiet once I got there, what with all the muttering and so. Not to mention the emu. That bird is noisy!
