Rar! I say. (props to Blog Ho)

Happy Hallowe'en, all!

See what I mean? This is the other kitten. There are only 2 differences between them that I can see. The first one has a white stripe up the left side of his nose and this one has a white patch in between his eyes. And the other one has a white tip on his tail and this one's tail is all black. They're like two little dominos bouncing around the house. But cute as two little buttons.

She still hasn't named them. Any suggestions? She's partial to Spanish names and they don't need to match.

Which one is which?

My daughter has adopted two new kittens, two brothers from the same litter that look so much alike I can never tell them apart. This is one of them. You're on your own for any more than that.

Coming and going

Quilt

My good buddy C and I went to the local museum and art gallery where they were displaying a phenomonal quilt that is a represenation of all the nationalities that make up the citizenry of Canada. Each panel represents the original nationality of a person who immigrated to Canada and all of the bottom row panels represent a first nations people. The quilt is indescribably beautiful with many different styles of embroidery, some of which incorporate metal "charms" or symbols. That's C sitting on the bench looking all arty reading the book that explains the project.

Scotland the embroidered

Here is a close-up of the Scotland panel. You can just see the bottom half of the Japanese panel in the upper right. (Was I planning ahead to posting these pictures on the site? Noooooooo! Otherwise I've have taken more pictures...). But I digress... the Japanese panel is a geshia, of course.

Inside looking out

The gallery has one of the best views in town.

The Great Pumpkin

I have a new addiction. Pumpkin Spice Latte from the 'Bucks. Mmmm! Spicy goodness with all that lovely caffeine. Does it get any better? I hear the Gingerbread Latte is... can't wait for December!

Oh. And I owe it all to Jenny at Three Kid Circus.

Like Water from Duckworth

Late afternoon, peering between the buildings on Duckworth Street, I spied this building on Water Street.

Rest is good for the blooood...

I got my first offer of a paying stage management gig tonight for a local production of Dracula. How cool is that? I've only done it as a hobby so far. I may have to turn it down as there are matinee performances that would conflict with my day job if I can't get the time off. We're smack dab in the middle of contract negotiations at work right now, so if things at work aren't clued up by then, I can kiss a cool thousand bucks good-bye. Still, it's nice for a change to have been asked. And you know what they say about a change...

Is this thing on?

I keep being asked if I have a blog, so I guess I'd better get one. Here it is. How do you like it so far?
