Two weeks

Two weeks until opening night. And counting. This pic was taken last weekend. The set pieces are much further long now.

And let's see, what else is going on?

*crickets*

Yep. That's about it. I'm so hyper-focused on the play, I'm completely unaware of what else is going on around me.

Oooo, er, um [scratches head for a while]

Oh, yeah - FIRST!

Sorry about that.

I, unfortunately, am familiar with the "omigod the tech rehearsal is tomorrow and there's lumber all over the stage" problem, although not on such a grand scale as your production.

Ask me sometime about the set builder I worked with who liked using two by fours and 3/4 inch plywood. For (supposedly) movable set pieces.

(Note to non-theatre types - heavy is bad.)

Good luck wid it.

Oh, There'll be no lumber on the stage come our tech. And we'll actually HAVE a tech, which is more than I experienced with another company I foolishly worked for. They thought that would be a good time to start having actors try on costumes for the first time. It is to laugh.

Those stage pieces are so easily moved it's scary. 'Our' carpenters are ace.
